Explore Thy National Park

Hans Christian Andersen Museum

Inside the building, there are more than 25 million LEGO blocks for children to have fun with. The LEGO House has four zones, namely red zone, yellow zone, green zone, and blue zone. The roof terrace of the building is home to 9 playgrounds, where kids can get creative and enjoy as well. There is a masterpiece gallery, where you would find unique artworks made out of LEGOs. There is also a museum that tells you the history of LEGOs. The place also has restaurants that serve healthy and delicious food as well as a retail store, where you can buy unique LEGO products.

Located two hours away from Copenhagen in South Zealand, Camp Adventure is a place where you and your family or friends can have an adventurous and fun time. Camp Adventure is located inside a forest, giving you the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the place. The place has 10 treetop adventure courses, with varied levels of difficulty. There is also an indoor climbing wall, and there are 3 courses and a natural playground for young children. One of the highlights of the place is that it has the longest zipline in Northern Europe. You can also hike up to the top of the observation deck, which is 147 feet tall, to enjoy a beautiful view of the entire forest.

The Maritime Museum is one of the most unique museums of the world. Situated right next to a dock, this museum is an underground museum that tells you the maritime history of Denmark. The National Museum

The National Museum of Denmark is housed inside The Prince’s Palace, which was built around 1744. Although no longer the home of the royalty, the palace is still fit for kings. Bakken Amusement Park

Built in 1583, Bakken is the oldest amusement park in the world. Although quite old, the Bakken Amusement Park is still a favorite amongst the people of Denmark. One of the major attractions of the place is that it is located right in the middle of one of Denmark’s splendid woods. The amusement park is home to 31 thrilling rides for both adults and children, which includes a wooden rollercoaster, which is more than 82-years old. Apart from this, there are 78 other attractions including gaming arcades, shooting stalls, etc. The place also has several restaurants, fast food shops, and ice cream parlors.

Ancient Viking Burial Grounds

One of the best archeological sites in Denmark is Lindholm Høje, the well-preserved ancient Viking burial ground. The place had been completely covered in sand from AD 1000 till the time it was discovered during an archaeological excavation. Here you would fund 82 graves and 150 stone ships both from the Viking Age and the Germanic Iron Age. Close to this site is the remains of a village, where you can see a few houses, wells, and fences. You must also visit the Lindholm Høje Museum, where you get to know the history of the area while checking out the relics and artefacts discovered from the place.
